مېړانه MeRana The word means of the act of zealousness. Courage, bavity and militancy. Pakhtunwali demands that whenever there is need for sacrifice to overcome his antagonist, to protect his family rights and even to safegaurd that barriers of his homeland, a Pashtun must demonstrate merhana by practical proving this. The one not responding to this traits in time of need is not called a Pakhtun. The word is derived from merha which means a husband. A member of the tribe can also called merha. A proverb gos ( چې کوم ځای میړونه وي هلته کار وي) which means where there are merhoona , there are homes. Homes here means prosperity, well being, civilization.
